Baby Anisha, from Bangladesh, has been suffering from biliary atresia since birth. She underwent surgery in Bangladesh which was unsuccessful. The doctors there then asked to get her a liver transplant in India. After research, her parents decided to get her treated at Max Healthcare. They met with Dr. Subhash Gupta, Chairman, Centre for Liver & Biliary Sciences, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, Delhi, India and Dr. Vikram Kumar, Principal Consultant, Paediatric Liver Transplantation, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, Delhi, India. They explained and discussed the transplant. The mother was the donor. With the care and guidance of Dr. Subhash Gupta and Dr. Vikram Kumar, the transplant was successful and both the child and the mother are doing well.
