However, 16 months later, the disease relapsed. He then underwent re-induction chemotherapy followed by an autologous bone marrow transplant using his own stem cells. Karan responded well to the intensive treatment and was discharged on Day 24 post-transplant. Today, he is recovering steadily and is thankful for the timely diagnosis, advanced treatment, and specialised care.
