Senior Vice President - NursingCapt. Sandhya Shankar Pandey is a distinguished healthcare leader with over 28 years of experience across the military, corporate, and healthcare sectors. As Senior Vice President – Nursing & Clinical Operations at Max Healthcare, she provides strategic leadership for nursing services across the network, driving excellence in patient care, clinical quality, patient safety, workforce development, and operational performance.
A former officer of the Military Nursing Services, she served as a Captain in the Indian Army and participated in Operation Vijay (Kargil War). Throughout her career, she has held leadership positions at leading healthcare organisations, including Max Healthcare, Fortis Healthcare, Medanta – The Medicity and Hillenbrand Industries (USA), where she led large-scale initiatives in nursing transformation, quality improvement, clinical education, workforce optimisation and accreditation excellence.
Capt. Pandey is a recognised thought leader in nursing and healthcare management. She serves as a Principal Assessor and Faculty for NABH and has contributed significantly to advancing professional nursing standards, leadership development and patient safety practices in India. She has also held leadership positions with prominent professional bodies, including the Association of Nurse Executives India and the Infusion Nurses Society India, an affiliate of INS, USA.
Currently a PhD scholar, she holds an MSc in Nursing, a BSc in Nursing & Chemistry Hons, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from XLRI and a Certificate in Clinical Leadership Program.
